Frank Burianek, the son of Frank and Josephine Crha Burianek, was born in Seward County on February 6, 1904 and died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 78. He grew up on the farm ten miles north of Crete and farmed the family homestead for twenty years. In 1939 the family moved to Omaha where he attended Frye Aircraft School and worked at Glenn L. Martin Bomber Plant during World War II. In 1947 the family returned to the farm until 1952 and moved to Lincoln where he was employed at Gooch Milling until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Anne; two sons, Marvin of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Robert of Lincoln; daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Marjorie) Schroeder of Lincoln; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Alicia Faldtz; brother, Henry of Lincoln; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Gruntorad of Lincoln and Mrs. Mary Kraus of Crete. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ann Melichar, and brother, Joe. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln where funeral services were held, Wednesday, June 2 with Father Gregory Pawloski officiating. Burial was held in Lincoln Memorial Park. Pallbearers: David Burianek, Dale Schroeder, Eugene Kraus, Leon Kraus, Kenneth Burianek, Gary Burianek.
