Bronnie Frank McNabb, Sr. Dec 22, 1926 - Oct 8, 2007 Bronnie Frank McNabb, 80, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, in Dallas. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Edwards and the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery. Mr. McNabb was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Silver City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edgar and Edna Lewis McNabb. Survivors include his wife, Joann McNabb; son, Bronnie McNabb Jr.; daughter, Nancy McNabb Graf; granddaughter, Margaret Anna McNabb; grandsons, James Madison McNabb and John Kenneth Graf; and brother, Billy James McNabb. Arrangements by Corley Funeral Home. ============ Bronnie Frank McNabb, 80, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was a building contractor, farmer and rancher. Mr. McNabb was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Silver City and was a resident of Navarro County for most of his life. He attended Purdon schools until 1943 when the family moved to Emhouse, where he graduated high school in 1944. He was active in sports, agricultural and cattle projects as a student. As a young man he was associated with Flat Top Ranches in Meridian, Texas, and Pineland Hereford Ranch in Donaldsonville, Ga. He attended Navarro College. On Oct. 16, 1948, he married JoAnn Nagy at Corsicana. He was active in the church and community and was ordained a deacon at Emhouse Baptist Church in 1952. He later served as chairman of the board of deacons, and was director of Sunday school until 1967 when he became a member of First Baptist Church in Corsicana. At First Baptist in Corsicana, he served as a deacon and director of Median Adult Sunday School for many years. Mr. McNabb was preceded in death by his parents, Homer E. McNabb and Edna Lewis McNabb; his paternal grandparents, James Madison McNabb and Mary Alice Payne McNabb; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Laura Whalen Lewis. He was also preceded in death by JoAnn's parents, Joe and Helen Toth Nagy. He was the namesake of his uncle, Bronnie Woodard of Purdon, who also preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Nagy McNabb; son, Bronnie McNabb Jr. of Claremont, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Anna Beth Simmons McNabb of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Ann McNabb Graf and Kenneth E. Graf of Vernon; grandchildren, Margaret Anna McNabb and James Madison McNabb of Charlotte, N.C.; John Kenneth Graf of College Station and Christopher McNabb Graf of Waco; brother and sister-in-law, Billy James McNabb and Doris Harris McNabb of Corsicana; and niece, Pat Haba of Corsicana. He is also survived by JoAnn's family: Joe R. and Lou Arnett Nagy of Corsicana and Autry and Linda Nagy Stephens of Midland; and nieces and nephews, Paula Thompson, Patti Hill, Lia Buchanan, Joe Stephens and Lyndal Stephens. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Edwards and the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert A. Bain Jr., James Houston McNabb, Dr. E. Scott Middleton, Billy Richmond, Loran Seely, Brad Tekell, Freddy Thomas and Scott Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Larry Byrd, Phil Judson, Danny Kent, Roland Laudan, Larry Melton, Jack Sisco and the deacons and Senior Adult One Men's Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
