Bio

Alfred Madison (Matt) Pogue was the son of A.J. "Jack" and Katie Perrin Pogue and the grandson of James Madison and Virginia Gardner Perrin. He moved to Hopkins County in 1881 with his family. He married Alice (Allie) Hurley on September 25, 1887 in Hopkins County. Mr. Pogue was the owner and operator of Pogue's Gin in Sulphur Springs. Matt and Allie had 8 children.
