James Wesley Mize, 77, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, September 26, in the Broken Bow Nursing Home. He was born March 13, 1894, in Telephone, Texas; he was a resident of McCurtain County 46 years, having moved from Gillham, Arkansas. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist church. He was survived by one son, one sister, one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, in the Broken Bow Norwood-Welch Funeral Chapel, with Elder Loyd Clark officiating. Arrangements and burial in the Broken Bow cemetery were under direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
