Bio
Carver Joseph English Sr. at the age of 101 years old peacefully passed away October 3, 2013, of natural causes in New Roads, LA at the Pointe Coupee Healthcare Home. He is survived by his daughter Bernice Prine, son-in-law C. J., six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren. Carver is preceded in death by his wife Julia Jeansonne English and son Carver Joseph English Jr. Carver worked in Baton Rouge as a heavy equipment mechanic for many years before retiring in Glynn Louisiana where he enjoyed hunting and tending to his garden. He will be greatly missed. Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads in charge of arrangements. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Roads. Conducted by the Rev. Msgr. Robert Berggreen. Interment in False River Memorial Park in New Roads. - Published in The Advocate from October 4 to October 5, 2013.
