DECATUR HERALD SEPT 1987 MOWEAQUA, SARVER Mrs. Russell (Goldie O. Conley) Sarver, 77 of Moweaqua died at 7:54 am Monday September 14, 1987 in St. Marys hospital in Decatur. Services will be at 11 Am Wednesday inDawson & Wikoff funeral home, Moweaqua with visitation 7 to 9 Pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Marrowbone township cemetery in Bethany. Mrs.Sarver was born in Shelby county, daughter of Roy and Dessie Conley. She was manager of the Macon Motel for ten years, a member of Prairie Home Presbyterian church and Order of the Eastern Star. She married Russell Sarver in 1929. He died in 1972. Surviving are her son, Harold and wife Pat of Davenport, Iowa, a sister Mildred Ray of Moweaqua, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Officiating Rev. J. Keith Zimmerman. Goldie and her husband lived a long time in Moweaqua, Illinois and they painted houses, inside and out and wallpapered. Goldie was the best cook around. After their husbands passed her sister, Mildred lived with her at the time of her death. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and delighted when she could visit with them.
