Obituary from The Beaumont Enterprise of 2 Nov 2002: Margie Harden Lewis, 92, of Nederland went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2002. Falls County, Rosebud, Texas was the birthplace of Margie Harden on September 11, 1910. Margie was one of 10 children born to Jackson Washington Harden and Rebecca Holliman Harden. Margie's father was born in Kentucky and her mother was born in Alabama. Margie married Jesse Lyn Lewis on May 16, 1933. Jesse and Margie resided in Port Arthur, Nederland and Boerne, Texas. Jesse died in October of 1979. As a young woman, Margie attended business school and worked at Bluestein's Department Store in Port Arthur. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nederland Rebakah Lodge #21 and the Harvest Club. Margie and Jesse were not blessed with children of their own; however, they were blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. Margie was a very caring person who would rather give of herself than to receive.
