June Kay Hallford, age 83 of Temple, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, October 4, 2013 at Bellwood Memorial Park with Jesse McKinnerney officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-7:00pm Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hallford was born on June 28, 1930 in Lockhart, Texas to the late Vernon L. Miller and Angie Lee Cottle Miller Pollak. She attended schools in Temple and graduated with honors from Temple High School in 1947. June married Cecil "Sonny" Hallford on June 20, 1948 in Temple. She worked with her husband at Hallford Auto Clinic in Temple for several years before retiring. June loved her family dearly and her life revolved around them. She was a member of Oakwood Methodist Church. June was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Hallford and Steve Hallford. Survivors include her husband, Cecil "Sonny" Hallford of Temple; two daughters, Cecilia Kay Gough and husband John of Burlington and Denise McKinnerney and husband Jesse of Hewitt; three sisters, Janet Green of Temple, Joyce Green of Temple and Nita Morrow of Decatur; a brother, Jimmy Miller of Waco; grandchildren, Amy Barnes, Angela Barnes, Mandalyn Sands and Timothy Hawk; and three great grandchildren, Alexis Stage, Clayton Whetzel and Brayden Sands. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Oakwood Methodist Church
