Bio

Wanda was born Nov. 29, 1924, to Ray and Hazel (Marrington) Wright. She graduated from Hayes School in 1942. She worked for the Schaller Popcorn Company for three years. She married Albert Helman on Oct. 16, 1945, in Omaha, Neb. They farmed in Omaha, Neb. for a year before moving back to a farm south of Storm Lake where they resided until his death in 1969. She worked at the Buena Vista County Hospital for four years. She moved to Lakeside in 1972. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and two grandchildren.
