Bio

Marion Everett Mitchell, 85, of Robinson, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Mitchell was born in Paducah, Texas, to the late Walter Everett Mitchell and Frances Ward Mitchell. He married Opal Davis on September 6, 1941, in a preacher's house in Bartlett, Texas. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Mitchell retired in 1981, having worked at Connally Air Force Base and the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi. Survivors include his wife, Opal; daughter, Marilyn Tucker and husband, Sam, all of Robinson; grandson, Kevin Tanner and wife, Christy, of Valley Mills; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Derrick Tanner; sister, Gloria Marshall; nephew, Floyd Marshall and wife, Patty, of Waco; other relatives and many friends.
