Bio
His father was Elias Kelley (born 1795 in South Carolina, died in December 1836). His mother was Mary Emily Hill (born 1803 in South Carolina who later remarried Richard Parish in 1837. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gonzales Inquirer Aug. 23, 1905 Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Kelley, living on the Kennard farm about nine miles below Gonzales, celebrant the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage on Thursday, July 27, by a family reunion. The family relations number 101, but only 25 of the number were present, owing to sickness and distant location preventing them from attending. A pleasant day was spent in feasting and merrymaking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Oct. 25, 1906 An Old Citizen Dead A. C. Kelly, living on the W. B. Shuler farm about four miles southeast of Gonzales, died Thursday afternoon after a lingering illness. The interment takes place in the Steen Cemetery this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Mr. Kelly was 71 years of age , and had lived in Texas many years. He was a native of Alabama and served four years in the service of the Confederacy. He was a good man, and leaves a wife and several children ( who of whom is Mrs. G. W. Wade, of Oak Forest) to mourn his death.
