Benjamin F Smotherman, 73, of San Antonio OBITUARIES Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) — Sunday, July 5, 1992 FORT WORTH - Col. Benjamin F. Smotherman, a retired Air Force officer, died Thursday at a San Antonio hospital. He was 73. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Col. Smotherman was born in Fort Worth. He was a career serviceman who served in World War II. Survivors: Son, Benjamin C. Smotherman of Fort Worth; three daughters, Darby Ann Smotherman of Austin, Holly Elizabeth Pharr of Fort Worth and N. Jan Davis of Houston; brother, the Rev. J. Don Smotherman of Fort Worth; and three sisters, Doris Nail, Lillian Stacy and Bettye Steigerwalt, all of Fort Worth. Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) — Sunday, July 5, 1992
