FRANCES BARTEK The funeral Mass for Frances Bartek, 82, of rural Valparaiso will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy. She died Sunday, July 9, 1995, at her home. Frances Koranda was born January 15, 1913, in Plasi, attended rural school in the Plasi area and St. Wenceslaus School in Wahoo. She married Frank Bartek February 1, 1944, in Plasi. They lived in the Valparaiso area since 1947. Her husband died March 19, 1991. She was a member of the St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy, its altar society and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include four sons, Jim of Dwight, Don of Valparaiso, and Ron and Dennis, both of Brainard; a daughter, Delores (Mrs. Gordon) Ratkove of Weston; and seven grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters. The Rev. John Cooper will officiate Thursday's service. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo, begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy, and will be a hour before the service at the church. A rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. They had children: Francis, James, Donald, Ronald, Dennis, and Delores (Ratkovec)
