Mr.John Bruce Ivy,65,of Lake Jackson,Texas.Parents,Woodrow and Lily Forehand Ivy.Mr.John Ivy graduated from Fairfield High School; He received his B.S. and M.S.Degrees in chemistry and was a Doctoral Graduate Assistant at the University of Texas,at Austin.He worked for Dow Chemical as a research chemist 1967-1997,where he authored or co-authored 11 patents and was a recipiant of the Dow Future Award in 1989.Mr.John Ivy was a fourth generation Texan,and the Ivy family has been a presence in Texas ranching for well over a hundred years.Preceded in death by his father,Woodrow,FAG #14232505.Survivors:wife,Joanna Smyly Ivy;two sons,John David Ivy;Jeffery Lee Ivy;mother,Lily Forehand Ivy;two sisters,Madie Ivy Head and husband,John C.Head III;Lettie Jane Ivy Cook,Findagrave # 52156381;and husband,Harold Lee "Hal"Cook Jr.FAG # 86206363;two nephews,John C.
