This was written by James Blair Harris' son James Blair Harris, Jr. in a letter to his wife while he was stationed in Guam during WWII. His words say more than any biography I could write: "Darling, I am glad you learned what a fine man my Dad was. He was the most courageous man I ever knew, and was one of the most gifted men in the state intellectually. Yes he was a professor of Music at North Texas and a talented composer. He was also a poet and enjoyed considerable aclaim as a fiction writer. Of course he was professionally a first rate Journalist. (Dallas Times). I will never be the man he was in any respect. by, James Blair Harris, Jr. (son)
