Bio

L. A. "Jim" Brister, 82, of Winnfield, died Sunday, July 23, 1972 in a Winnfield hospital. He was a retired crane operator and a native of Provencal. Survivors are a son, James H. Brister of San Antonio, Texas; a stepson, R. L. White of Greenville, S. C.; a sister, Mrs. Neal Collins of Bentley; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mrs. J. G. Dickerson of Winnfield was a niece of the deceased. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Winnfield, with Rev. Charles Haley officiating, assisted by Rev. Calvin Phelps. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Published in The Winn Parish Enterprise News-American (Winnfield, LA), July 26, 1972
