Marie Eller, 86, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Heritage Pointe Assisted Living in Omaha, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 19, 10:00 A.M. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Forgét celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. at the church. Marie Eller was born November 24, 1926, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to Joseph and Anna (Skarda) Vavra. She grew up in Schuyler and graduated from Schuyler High School. On November 29, 1947, Marie was united in marriage to Emerson Eller in Schuyler. They moved to Columbus in 1951 when they started Eller Heating & Air Conditioning. Marie helped with the company until they retired in 1994. Marie is survived by: Daughter: Mary (Jim) Bruning of Bennington, NE Son: John (Elena) Eller of Denver, CO Granddaughters: Isabella and Stella Eller Many nieces and nephews Marie was preceded in death by: Parents: Joseph and Anna Vavra Husband: Emerson Eller 4 Sisters 1 Brother
