Memorial services for Jerry Dan Love,69, will be on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at Lovington Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Brazil officiating. Jerry was born June 22, 1944 in Spur, TX to Herbert and Donnie Lee Love, Veteran boot makers. He moved with his family to Lovington, NM in1953 and graduated from Lovington High School. After a military tour to Vietnam he returned to Lovington joining the family business, Love Boot Shop and becoming a master leather craftsman. Jerry was also an accomplished guitarist. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Gail Painter and Janet Byrd all of Lovington. He is survived by his son Brad and Holly his daughter by marriage, a brother Neil Love and wife Jo of Grandview TX and sister Melba Hamby of Lovington. The family request memorials be made to the Lea County Museum. Published in the Hobbs News Sun on August 14, 2013
