Mary Ann Dally, 71, of Canyon Lake, died Thursday, June 2, 2005. Mary was born on January 26, 1934 in Tyndall, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Frank Dvorak and Mildred Mulleague Dvorak. She married Alfred E. Dally on December 27, 1953 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. They retired to their present home in Canyon Lake, Texas in 1982. Mary was an active member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas. She enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren, cross stitch, ceramics with friends, and china painting. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be truly missed. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alfred E. Dally, her son, Robert W. Dally of Odessa, Texas; her daughter, Rebecca L. (Dally) Rolan and her husband Jesse R. Rolan of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Celena Dally, Tiffany Rolan, Sean Rolan, Sarah Rolan, and Steven Rolan; her sister, Dorothy Winter and her husband, Marvin Winter of Sioux City, Iowa; and her brother, Frank Dvorak and his wife Phyllis Dvorak of Lafayette, Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 2811 Aftonshire Way, Austin, Texas. Interment to follow at Cook-Walden /Forest Oaks Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made in her name to Hope Hospice, 611 North Walnut Ave., New Braunfels, Texas 78130. The staff's dedication and support to the family during this difficult time was truly a blessing and the family offers their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in Mary's care.
