She was born to Mack and Lizzie Halk Betsill. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and a member of Norwood Height s Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, C. E. Cliburn, Roy Dear and John Boyd Kennedy Sr.; brother, Lloyd Betsill; sister Ola Mae Pheonix; stepsons John Boyd Kennedy jr. and David Charlie Kennedy. She is survived by stepdaughters, Diana Funderburk, Linda Pendland, Nancy Curry, Kay Denson, Annettee Seckler and Mary Seeber; stepson, E. E. Kennedy and numerous extended family.
