Col. Mark Yates Powell Jr. ,, of Freeport, Texas.Mr.Mark Powell was a graduate of Class of 1934 Center High School. He attended the University of Texas.Mark was a member of the 36th Military Police Company.the Army Air Corps Air Force, and retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lt. Colonel. Mr. Mark Y.Powell was a longtime area resident, business owner, and community leader in Freeport, Texas. Survivors include his children, two daughters; one son; many other loving family members and friends. Visitation is set for September 1,2005 at the Freeport Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. September 2,2005, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Abel Garcia and Rev. H. O.
