Margaret D. Bakken SCOTTSBLUFF - Margaret D. Bakken, 87, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002 at her home. Funeral services will .be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, DuganKramer, Funeral Chapel with Revs. Michael Stein and Carlisle Smith officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Marge was born Dec. 10, 1914 in Kimball to Louis Elsworth and Hazel M. (Grubbs) Van Pelt. She was employed by: the Ben Franklin Store in Scottsbluff, the Army Supply Depot in Ogden, Utah, and Sidney, the S & L Department Store, and Mart's Drug in Scottsbluff. Marge married Martin J. Bakken August 24, 1965 in Sidney. She received the Elizabeth Arden Commendation Sales Award. She loved animals, raising four gold fish, three dogs and a cockatiel. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, genealogy and gardening. Marge and Martin had a unique marriage of 37 years. She is survived by her husband: Martin; stepdaughters, Linda and Duane Knaub, Lingle, Wyo., Marla Smith and Frank, Harrisburg, Pa., and Clydene and Robert Britton, North Platte; step son, Brad Bakken and Jan of Scottsbluff; foster daughter and family Deena and Keith Hammel and their six children of Trinidad, Colo.; sister, Virginia Van Pelt of Scottsbluff; niece, Gayle Warme, Bridgeport; grand niece, Jodie Prickett, Gering; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
