Bio

Catherine McKnight was beautiful, talented, and engaged to be married to Cecil Porter. She died from blood poisoning from a pimple between her eyes. She was 21 years old. Cecil never got over losing Catherine as noted in a letter to Catherine's mother, Mrs. W.E. McKnight (Sallie Bettie Wells). He visited her grave in McKinney, TX often. He later married another, but Catherine was his only TRUE love.
