Bio

Nina Leatham Staples was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Mesa, Ariz., as the only daughter of Robert A. Leatham and Lillian Burnham. Nina is preceded in death by her parents; her only brother, Nyle Leatham; four brothers and one sister from her father's first marriage; her own daughter, Marian Ruth Staples, born Oct. 6, 1967, in Alexandria, La.; and her own son, Stephen Paul Staples, Oct. 19, 1969, in Mesa. She passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., the evening of Sept. 8, 2013, following a long illness.
