Bio

Elvin Max Thorne was born Sep 30, 1927 in Pleasant Grove Utah to Elvin Reeves and Mabel Christina Jensen Thorne. He married Laurel Willes, daughter of Douglas and Zina Johnson Willes, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Feb 9, 1952. Max and Laurel made their home in Pleasant Grove where they had 3 sons: Willes Max, Steven Elvin, and Kent Blake. "Max" worked as Director of Maintenance for Alpine School District. He served in the US Army and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died July 17 1992 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah of an extended illness.
