Wayne Everett Butterfield, age 89, passed away February 24, 2005 in Bountiful, UT. He was born September 3, 1915 in Union, UT to Mary Elizabeth Carlisle and William Butterfield. On May 5, 1938 he married Hanna Mary Nelson in Midvale, UT. They were sweethearts for 61 years. He grew up on a farm, working hard all of his life to support his family. He had his own hay bailing business. Wayne worked on the railroad during World War II, and later as a factory worker and as a maintenance worker for Jordan School district. He could fix anything, cars, houses or a grandchild's bicycle, and was always ready to help his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching the Utah Jazz. He loved to share his life experiences with others. Wayne is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Forbush (Jerry) and Linda Trinnaman (Sid); 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hanna; brother, Joseph Butterfield and sisters, Merle Burner and Wanda Bishop. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, at noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow the services at Larkin Sunset Gardens. The family would like to offer their thanks to Hearts for Hospice who made his last days more enjoyable.
