Ruby Margaret Appleton Wilson-Beatty Ruby Wilson Beatty, 73, of South Sioux City died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 2pm Wednesday in Jack Becker Funeral Home in South Sioux City. The Rev. Frederick Davis, pastor of Dakota City Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am to 9pm Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:30pm in the funeral home. Mrs. Beatty, the former Ruby Appleton, was born February 12, 1912, at Winnebago, Nebraska, and was a lifelong resident of Dakota County. She married Henry Wilson in 1928. In 1972 she married Harry Beatty. He died in 1983 in Sioux City. Survivors include three sons, David Wilson of Dakota City, Jim Wilson of Woodstock, Ill., and George Wilson of Mitchell, SD; three daughters, Betty Wagner of South Sioux City, Barbara Lemon of Dakota City and Shirley Bentz of Homer, Neb.; one brother, Harry of Winnebago, Neb; 22 grandchildren and several Great-grandchildren.
