Catherine Elizabeth Barry (May 12, 1919 - August 25, 2009) Catherine Elizabeth Barry, age 90 of Hastings, passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2009 at Pennock Hospital in Hastings. She was born May 12, 1919 in Briarville, Minnesota the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Schroder) Wensloff. Catherine moved to Michigan in the 1930's and graduated from Woodland High School. She was married to David V. Barry May 25, 1940. He preceded her in death February 12, 1990. Catherine was a homemaker and co owner of Barry Resort on Thornapple Lake, She also worked at Hastings Manufacturing Company for 5 years. She enjoyed bird feeding, reading, traveling and visiting with people. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David V. (Vic) Barry and 5 brothers. Catherine is survived by her daughters Marie L. Barry of Waynsboro, Tennessee, Nancy Wotkyns of Eaton Rapids, MI, Janis K. Barry of Hastings, a son David N. Barry of Hastings, grandson Alexander Barry-Ploger, sisters Caroline Lapeyre and Marylyn Barrett, one brother Gerald Wensloff.
