Hilda Lange married Henry F. Werchan on April 18, 1931, in Noack, Williamson County, Texas. ************************************************************************* OBITUARY: Hilda Sophie Bertha Werchan, 102, of Austin has gone to be with her Heavenly Father. Hilda was born on October 7, 1910, in Noack, Texas to Louise Schwarz Lange and Otto Lange and married to Henry Frank Werchan. She formally lived in Taylor before moving to Austin and lived there over fifty years. She worked for Concordia College, St. Paul Lutheran School, and the University of Texas in food service. Her husband, Henry Frank Werchan and granddaughter Heather Nicole Werchan preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, son Charles Werchan (Lynel), daughter Janet Klotz (Harvey), daughter Lois Johnson (Lester), son James R. Werchan (Ruby). She had 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 2620 South Congress in Austin. Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Austin, 3501 Red River. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Gethsemane Lutheran Church, in lieu of flowers.
