Bio
Elizabeth was the oldest of six children born to William and Sarah (Downs) McCullough. She (1) married (unknown) and they had two sons: William M. and David Crockett. She (2) married George Washington Davis in 1854. They had no children, but Elizabeth raised George's seven children from his previous marriage to Mary Caroline (Kelly): Zachariah, George Washington, Daniel, William, Benjamin, Elizabeth Ann 'Betty' and James Rhodes. ∼ Elizabeth McCullough Davis was the Daughter of Sarah Downs McCullough and William McCullough-Of Morgan Co. Ga. -She moved to DeWitt Co. in 1854 with her family ( Richard Downs and Elizabeth Young Downs,William Wood Downs,and several other sisters(Jane McCullough Harper and Caroline Downs ( Later Mrs Samuel Pease) .) Upon arrival in DeWitt Co. Elizabeth wed George Washington Davis -a widower .She lived her whole life thereafter in DeWitt Co. With her merged Family( Elizabeth had two Boys when she wed Mr. Davis)
