Steve Glosup officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. She passed away August 29, 2013 in Canton, TX. Mrs. Hockett was born July 24, 1916 in Seagoville, TX, to W. H. and Maye Harper Shennault. Alene grew up in Dallas. She was a member of the Bethal Baptist Church in Seagoville. Alene worked for Yellow Cab for 40 years before retiring in 1980. She was a great cook who enjoyed her family and life. Surviving are Daughter, Joyce Badgley of Ben Wheeler, TX, Grandson, Rowdy & Denise Badgley of Canton, TX, Great Grandson, Jackson Badgley of Forney, TX, Great Granddaughter, Lexi Badgley of Kilgore, TX, Great Great Grandson, Levi Wade of Kilgore, TX. Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband, Elmer Hockett, Grandson, Gary Badgley, Sister, Pauline Thomas.
