Bio

Wilma Maxine Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord June 30, 2004. She is once again united with her dear husband, Clebourne A. Johnson and son, Darrel Martin Johnson, who preceded her in death. Wilma was born in Columbia Falls, MT on September 28, 1912 to Gholy and Della McPheeters. She joined her older sister Thelma. Later her sister Evelyn and brother Clayton were added to the family. She lived on a 180-acre family farm in the Valentine area near Columbia Falls during her growing up years. In 1935 she met Clebourne. They dated for a little over a year and then were married on October 4, 1936. The Lord gave them four children: Darrel, Venetta, Stanley and Keith. From them came nine grandchildren and twenty plus great-grandchildren. The past eleven years she lived in the Concrete, WA area near her daughter, Venetta Sanford. She will be missed by all her family and friends who loved and treasured her. With so many good memories of family times, working in the North Creek Valley Grange, Cloverleaf Rebekahs and her church, she will live in our hearts forever. Much appreciation, thanks, and praise for those earthly angels who attended her needs the past few months: the Aero EMS personnel, Hospice nurses who were so caring and met every need, and especially Diane and Butch Hoyle and Angie who were her caregivers. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 12:00noon at the chapel of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral home, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036. The graveside service will follow. Published in The Herald (Everett) on July 4, 2004
