The Victoria Advocate - http://TheVictoriaAdvocate.com Tillie Brod Trojcak - VICTORIA Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Tillie Brod Trojcak of El Campo, passed away on December 5, 2005 at the age of 100. She was born on November 28, 1905 in Moravia, Texas to the late Ben and Mary Breska Brod. She was the third child of six children. She attended grade school in Komensky. On November 10, 1924, in Hallettsville, Texas in a double wedding ceremony, Tillie married Joe Trojcak and her brother, Bill Brod married Joe Trojcak's sister Amelia. After their marriage, they moved to Jackson County, maintaining residences in Ganado, Blessing, Vandervilt, Lolita, making their permanent home in LaWard where she was employed for over 30 years at LaWard Mercentile Store. Several years after retirement, they moved to Freer, Texas residing close to their daughter, Gen Hullums and family. After the loss of her husband in 1991 and health purposes, she has been residing at the Czech Catholic Home in Hillje, Texas, enjoying all the available entertainment, visiting with old friends, and having the pleasure of making new ones. She is survived by her son Joe "Jimmy" Trojcak and wife Bernice of Yoakum; grandsons: Roger "Rocky" Hellums and wife Tami of Rockport; and Jackey Hellums of San Antonio; great granddaughter: Ce'ree Hellums of San Antonio; and step-grandson-Lawron Popp of Yoakum, brother-Ben Brod of Irving and sister-Ollie Foster of Blessing. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband-Joe Trojcak; daughter-Gen Hellums; grandson Allen "Butch" Hellums and great grandson Brady Hellums. Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 11:00AM at Triska Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:00AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado. Funeral Services will follow on Friday at 10:30AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado. Burial will be at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Victor Poncik, Jerry Nobles, Larry Denton, Gus "Bubba" Trojcak, Norbert Popp and Paul Blumrick. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Hellums, Jackey Hellums, Charles Erdelt, Charlie Roy Trojcak and the employees of the Czech Catholic Nursing Home.
