Funeral services for Adolph P. Zimmerer, 84, who died April 6 in the Osmond hospital, were conducted here Monday morning at St. Ludger Catholic Church. The Rev. Raul Schneider officiated. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery. Mr. Zimmerer, the oldest of eight children, was born Sept. 30, 1876 at Lark, Mo., to Joe and Gertrude Zimmerer. Later the family moved to Nebraska, living in Pierce and Madison counties. On April 14, 1914 he was united in marriage to Barbara Burkhardt at Verdigre. Three daughters and a son were born to them. In 1917 they moved to Knox County and farmed until their retirement in 1949, when they moved into Creighton. He is survived by his wife of Norfolk; son, Edwin of Creighton; daughters, Mrs. Philip (Margaret) Rogers of Wausa, Mrs. Paul (Irene) Hobbs of Franklin, Ind. and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Arduser of Madelia, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ben (Gertrude) Tunning of Merrifield, Minn. and three brothers, Joseph of Norfolk, John of Lindsay and Charles of Nebraska City.
