Bio

The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS) ran the following story on Thursday, 2 Sept. 1948: John J. Jelinek, 68, of Crete, Neb. died Monday, according to a report in the Omaha World Herald. Mr. Jelinek died at a farm near Crete, where he went to purchase a chicken. Besides his wife and son, Roy, he is survived by two brothers, Albert Jelinek of Munden, and Mike, of Howells, Neb., and a sister, Mrs. Mary Souhrada, of Tacoma, Wash. If this clipping corresponds to the correct day, that previous Monday would have been 30 August. Contributor: John M.
