"Ocker, Texas Mrs. Anna Hruska was buried on April 14, 1930. She died in Kings Daughters Hospital in Temple, Texas. Mrs. Hruska was born Martinec. She was born November 12, 1839 in Jablunka in Moravia. She came to America with her husband Stepan (Stephen) Hruska and two children, Johana, and Anna. When they came to America, they settled near Fayetteville, Texas on a farm of the parents of Tom Hruska. They lived here 8 years, then 4 years in Taylor and the last 48 years she lived near Temple, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death in 1889. Also one child died in the old country. Mrs. Hruska died of old age. She was 90 years and 5 months old. She leaves 7 children: Mrs. Johana Batla in Cameron, Mrs. Anna Wojteck in Robert Lee, Tx, Mrs. Joe Krizan in Groom, Texas, John and Stephen Hruska in Temple, Tx and Louis in Adrian, Tx and Mrs Emilie Kolar in Temple, Texas, with whom Mrs. Hruska has been living lately. She also leaves one brother, Joe Martince in Red Ranger, Texas. We express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family." Brethren Journal May 28,1930 Page 5 .
