"Temple, Tex., July 11 John F. Batla, a well-known citizen of Temple, engaged in the real estate business, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon after an illness of but a few days. Deceased was a prominent Bohemian, and exercised a great influence among his countrymen. He was about 40 years of age, and leaves a wife and child."
