Mary Elbertine Luckett May 18, 1925 - April 07, 2015 Born in Emory, TX on May 18, 1925 Departed on Apr. 7, 2015 and resided in Emory, TX. Funeral services for Mary Elbertine Wade Luckett, 89, of Emory, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Smyrna Union Church in Emory with Bro. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Emory under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. She passed away Tuesday morning, April 7, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. Elbertine was born May 18, 1925, in Emory, Texas, the daughter of Egbert Wade and Jessie Northcut Wade. She was raised in Emory, where she attended school. On October 2, 1942, she married Ellie Hue Luckett in Emory. Elbertine was employed as a seamstress for Malouf Manufacturing Company in Wills Point and was a homemaker. She enjoyed hand sewing and crocheting. Elbertine was a member of Woosley Baptist Church in Rains County. Preceded in death by her parents, Egbert and Jessie Wade; husband, Ellie Hue Luckett and two sisters, Murlene Arnold and Maxine Jordan. Elbertine is survived by two sons, Wayne Luckett & wife, Barbara, of Emory and Ronnie Luckett, of Emory; brother, O. J. Wade, of Emory; two sisters, Daphine Vaught & husband, Tom, of Kaufman and Sue McDonald & husband, Jerome, of Point; four grandchildren, Charles Luckett, Marion Brewer, Wyndell Luckett and Jan Elliott and six great-grandchildren, Brittany Brewer, Brandon Weir, Hunter Luckett, Courtney Luckett, Cody Luckett and Caden Luckett. Family will receive friends at Smyrna Union Church in Emory two hours prior to funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Smyrna Cemetery.
