Obituary printed in York News-Times on 15 Oct 1986: Ben Peters, 77, of York died Sunday (Oct. 12, 1986) in Lincoln. He was born Nov. 12, 1908, at Henderson to Jacob C. and Justina (Ratzlaff) Peters. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Martha Boldt in York. Before retirement he worked for the city of York sanitation department. Survivors include his wife, Martha of York; one sister, Marie Barber of York; and a nephew, David Peters of York. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Metz Chapel with the Rev. Michael G. Vanlaningham officiating. Burial will be in York Greenwood Cemetery. Metz Mortuary of York is in charge of the arrangements.
