Edna Mae Fennern, 75, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Edna Mae Bitz was born August 11, 1931 in Jamestown, ND to George and Rika (Lang) Bitz. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1949. She met and married Robert Fennern on February 2, 1951. Edna worked for the City Assessors office and City and County Health office. Bob and Edna then opened Bob's Plumbing and Heating in 1974, where she worked until her retirement. She enjoyed going to the family's cabin, fishing, playing cards, cooking, and most of all her family. Edna is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Jerri Kahler, Jamestown; three sons, Tom (Shauna) and Dwight, both of Jamestown, Dave (Nanci), Bismarck; seven grandchildren Erik (Terra) Fennern, West Fargo, Josh (Dona) Krahler, Devils Lake, Jessica (Eric) Howe, Minot, Jonathan Fennern, Bismarck, Matt Krahler, Rika Krahler, Russell (Trisha) Fennern, all of Jamestown; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mathilda (Mitzi) Mandyck. Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
