Bio

Gilbert Stubbs, 64, of Corsicana, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital. Services is Thursday, 3 p.m., Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. He was a native and lifelong resident of Corsicana, a painter and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of Corsicana; two sons, Benny Stubbs, of Lufkin, and James David Stubbs, of Corsicana; one grandson; two brothers, Gene Stubbs and Richard Stubbs, both of Corsicana; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Rice of Corsicana. Pallbearers are Billy Don Atkeisson, Mike Barrett, John Nelson, W. H. Tipton, Joe Hambrick, Slim Bolin, Joe Stroube and John W. Stubbs.
