Bio

Nina was the daughter of Marcus (Buck) and Montie (Prine)Dellaughter. She was born in LeFeria, Texas. She attended school in Hamilton, Texas and graduated from Hamilton High School. She worked for AT&T Telephone Company in Midland, Tx, Denver, Colorado and Worland, Wyoming. She was introduced to Leonard Larson in 1964, by his sister, Karen who also worked for AT&T, and several months later they were married. They bought a farm on Owl Creek that they worked until 1983. Nina went to work as a Deputy County Clerk for Hot Springs County in 1984 and worked there until she retired in 1996. She loved being with friends and family. She also loved to crochet and read. Nina was a member of the Hot Springs Christian church and taught Sunday School. Being from Texas she loved yellow roses and also yellow tulips. Her favorite colors were blue and purple. She was preceeded in death by her husband Leonard in January of 1995 and also by her parents, brothers M.V. and David Dellaughter and sisters Mary Kelly, Dorothy Cody and Montie Greever. She married Roy Shimek in June 2007. Nina is survived by Roy, her grandchildren Liz and Steven McNichols all of Thermopolis. Two sisters Betty (James) Miller of Benbrook, Tx. and Nellie Sharpes of Lake Jackson, Texas, two brothers, Robert (Carol Ann) Dellaughter of Hamilton, Tx.,and Bill (Margie) Dellaughter of Ponder, Tx. Stepchildren, Bill(Carol) Larson of Evanston, WY, Steve Larson, Doug Larson and Edward Larson of Atlanta, Ga., Randy Larson of Casper, Wy. and Laura Hunsaker of Casper, Wy. Carolyn, Ken(Carol) and David Shimek all of Wyoming. She also has many grandchildren, nephews and nieces and a very good friend in Karlene Huckman of Thermopolis. The service was held on August 16th, 2013 at 10am at the Hot Springs Christian Church.
