WILLIAM BYRAM 1897-1975 William Egbert Byram, 78, of Emory died Monday night after being struck by a car in Whitney as he stepped from his own car. Funeral services were held 2:30 pm Wednesday in the Smyrna Church in Rains County with Rev. Albert Clark officiating. Burial was in the Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Hood Funeral Home. Mr. Byram was a retired carpenter and member of Shepherd Field Masonic Lodge. His survivors include a son, Ray Byram of Emory, three stepsons, Jack Arnold of Hurst, Frank Arnold of Fort Worth, and James Arnold of Euless; five daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Fleming, Mrs. Fay Reynolds and Mrs. Billie Hamilton all of Dallas, Mrs. Vallie Conine of Tyler, and Mrs. Sonja Adair of Mesquite; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lucy Northcut of Duncanville, Mrs. Geneva Haves of Longview and Mrs. Mary McKinney of Dallas; brother, Hass Byram of Edom; 11 stepbrothers; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Trumble and Mrs. Odessa Luckett both of Emory; two stepsisters;13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
