Katherine Camp Born in Blum, Texas on Aug. 2, 2005 Departed on Aug. 2, 2005 and resided in Whitney, TX. Visitation: Thursday Aug. 4, 2005 Service: Friday Aug. 5, 2005 Katherine Camp died Tuesday, August 2nd, at a Fort Worth hospice care facility. She was born May 25, 1914, in Blum, Texas to John (Jack) Camp and Bertha (Cheek)Camp. The family moved to Whitney in 1916 where she attended school. Katherine attended Hillsboro Jr. College and received her teaching degree from North Texas State University in Denton. She taught school at De Lamar, Huron, and Blum from 1933-1942. Katherine was then employed as office clerk at Nabisco Foods in Waco where she worked for 37 years retiring in 1979 as operations supervisor. After retiring, she moved back to Whitney where she lived until her passing. She was a Methodist. Katherine was preceded in death by two brothers, J. B. Camp of Whitney and Carl Camp of California. Survivors include her two nieces; Linda (Camp) Boyd of Burleson, Texas, and Carolyn (Camp) Miles of California, and a nephew, Carl Bradley Camp of California.
