Helen S. Mizera, 77, of Hallettsville, passed away Aug. 11, 2013. She was born on Dec. 10, 1935 to Joe H. & Angeline Riha Svatek in Shiner. She married Anton J. Mizera on Nov. 21, 1955 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner. She was a member of KJZT and Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Sweet Home. Helen is survived by: her husband Anton; son Anthony Mizera & wife Lee Ann of Hallettsville; daughter Jean Mizera of Victoria; 2 sisters, Leonita Kelner of Palacios, and Patricia Hargus of Port Lavaca; and 2 grandchildren, Allexus and Allec Mizera. Helen was preceded in death by: her parents; 3 brothers, Ben, Joe and Patrick Svatek; and sister Angie Boone. Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation: 5 pm, Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7:30 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Memorials: Accolade Hospice, American Cancer Society or Donor's Choice. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery.
