Alma H. Hoffman, 91 of Munich, ND passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake, ND. Funeral Services for Alma will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Salem Mennonite Church, Munich, ND with Pastor Michael Jarrett officiating and burial in the South Salem Cemetery, rural Munich. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Time of Remembrance and Sharing at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Alma Helen, daughter of Cornelis W. "C.W." and Helen (Neufeld) Janzen was born on December 24, 1921 on the family homestead in Gordon Township, Cavalier County, rural Alsen, ND. Alma attended grade school at Alsen and graduated from Alsen Alma was united in marriage to her beloved Archie J. Hoffman on October 28, 1944 at Munich, ND. While Archie was stationed in Oklahoma with the Navy, Alma nursed at the Wesley Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma until the birth of their first child. When Archie was discharged, the family moved back to North Dakota and began farming, ranching and raising their family at rural Munich.
