Ola Faye May (known as Faye) passed away peacefully on August 7, 2013. She was born August 9, 1932 in Seagoville, Texas to Elmer Martin and Pat Parker Martin. Faye is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of over 40 years, James Riley May, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Left with fond memories to cherish are her son Teddy Charles May & wife Brenda, son James Michael May & wife Julia, daughter Alisa Jan Voss & husband James, brother Glen Martin & wife Becky, 8 grandchildren; Ted, Russell, Christopher and Brent May, Andrea Allen, Bonnie Mitchell, Crissie Wright and Nathan Voss. Faye had 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members who loved her dearly. Faye was a strong willed woman. She always accomplished what she set out to do. Her determination was helpful to her as a working mother and homemaker. She worked for many years in the retail industry as a receiving supervisor. She enjoyed shopping with passion; Walmart was one of her favorite places to be. Faye was also a great cook. She loved her family and cooking for them on holidays and family reunions was a pleasure to her. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8 PM Thursday August 8, 2013 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday August 9, 2013 at Roselawn Funeral Home Seagoville, Texas. Interment will follow in The Garden of Scriptures, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas. Dr. Al Taylor officiating.
