Bio
Sarah Rose Findley Poole, age 85 of Gardendale, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. She was born on May 18, 1935 in Jefferson County and graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School. She retired from Bell South after thirty six and a half years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Poole; her father, William Jessie Findley; her mother, Gradie Counts Findley; and a sister, Mary Will Findley. Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the members from Liberty Baptist Church who sent cards and visited Sarah during her illness, especially Bro. Willard Davis and Bro Terry & Mary Garrett. Thank you also, to Encompass Hospice and all of the sitters who ministered to Sarah Rose, especially Marsha Martin and Tracy Ginn. Lastly, thank you, to all the neighbors who helped take care of the yard and did things around the house for the family. Funeral Services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Willard Davis officiating.
