Pvt. US Army WWII James Spencer Stephenson   DU 11 Sep 1978 Mr. James Spencer Stephenson, 63, of Iron City, Tennessee died Friday, September 8, 1978 in the Scott Memorial Hospital following a short illness. A native of Alabama, he was a member of the Church or Christ, and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 580 of Iron City and retired from TVA. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 10, 1978 at 3 pm in the Loretto Memorial Chapel with Oneal Smilser officiating. Burial was in Richardson Chapel Cemetery with Loretto Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elese Carey, Noblesville, Ind.; Mrs. Kathy Trapp, Iron City, Tenn.; Mrs. Hoan Gist, St. Joseph, TN; Mrs. Jean Atwell, Columbia, TN; four sons, Jackie Nickie, Jerry, Danny Stephenson, all of Iron City, TN; three brothers, Clifford Stephenson, Orlando, Florida; Villard Stephenson, Noblesville, Ind.; Bress Stephenson, Dayton, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
