Barbara J. Totten, 79 years, of Fort Calhoun, NE, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, NE. She was born May 23, 1934 in Omaha, NE to Ralph and Francis (Kiefer) Hineline. She grew up in Blair where she graduated from high school and then moved to Denver, CO. She returned to Blair, then lived in Fremont and finally Fort Calhoun. She was a homemaker. Barbara enjoyed camping, card clubs, dancing and bowling. Barbara married Richard Totten October 8, 1994 at First United Methodist Church in Kennard, NE. Survivors include: husband, Richard; sons, Kevin McDonald and his fiancé Hannah and Rusty McDonald and his fiancé Lisa, all of Golden, CO; step-sons, Gary and wife Wanda Totten of Nickerson, NE, Dennis and wife Brenda Totten of Lyons, NE and Mike Totten of Fremont, NE; step-daughter, Connie and husband Bob Stiver of Fremont; brothers, Ralph and wife Dianne Hineline of Wheat Ridge, CO and Ronald and wife Lori Hineline of Fort Calhoun, NE; sister, Bonnie Zeleny of Bennington, NE; 9 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: parents; and son, Bradly McDonald. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 2, 2013 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Pastor Pam Ciulla of First Lutheran Church, Blair, NE. will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel and will continue from 9-11 A.M. Friday. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Fremont. Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair or to the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
